How to exchange batteries?
Disassemble SkyDrop and remove the battery by disconnecting the connector with your nail, rather than pulling the cable. The battery is securely adhered to the PCB with a strong adhesive, so attempting to pull it out will certainly damage the device. Instead of pulling, the battery should be rotated around the Z axis (perpendicular to the PCB). Connect the double battery to the PCB, then place the battery into the enlarged rear cover (just like the old battery) and reassemble SkyDrop.

Follow these steps

• Remove two screws from the underside of the vario with a PZ1 screwdriver, then take off the bottom cover. Take out the coloured rubber ring for improved handling.
• Unplug the battery connector using a nail; don't pull the cable.
• The battery is glued to the mainboard (PCB) with very strong adhesive, making it impossible to pull out without destroying the SD card holder. The battery must be rotated around an axis perpendicular to the PCB, which will create shear stress on the adhesive and PCB components, causing the adhesive to break but not the PCB.
• Place the new battery in the same way and in the same spot; the footprint of both batteries is identical, with the only difference being their thickness. The correct placement should be symmetric between the two pillions for the screws.
• Connect the new battery to the PCB by pushing its connector onto the PCB.
• Place rubber ring positioned by the raised collar facing the PCB. 
• Place the new back cover on, first arrange the USB connector into its hole, then clap the opposite side.
• Reinsert screws or replace them with new ones if they are worn. Use the PZ1 tool for optimal results.
