Student helmet and pilot helmet, are exactly the same. The difference is that the PIlot helmet comes with ear pads and student helmet doesn't have earpad. If you don't like to have you're each covered when flying School helmet is a better option. School helmets come with extra washable padding, they come with washable padding size M (thicker)  and size L (thinner). Use the padding size M for summer and size L for winter when you fly with a balaclava.
